Why Swim it Yourself?
It’s vitality important for instructors to be intimately knowledgeable of their own body, and the feel of the mechanics of the various drills
Drills are occasionally MORE difficult than swimming strokes
It is a humbling experience. Remember, we are teaching Infants, not Olympic athletes. Empathizing with their difficulties makes you that much better of a teacher, and will give keen insights into where the difficulty in a drill they may be having
This also greatly improves an instructors ability to explain and display drills to their students
15:00 - 17:30 (Precomp observation and coaching)
Learning to go from a stroke instructor in the water to on the deck coaching
